International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife

This month is the first month of 2020 celebrating International Year of the Nurse. The 12th May is the bicentenary of the birth of another nursing superstar, Florence Nightingale. And globally, the World Health Organisation has named 2020 as the international year of the nurse and the midwife.

This is a fantastic opportunity for us to recognise and acknowledge the skilled, expert work of the dedicated, caring professionals at Manor Hall caring for acutely ill or injured people, those with a physical or learning disability and mental health problems.

On behalf of everyone at Manor Hall, my very best wishes for the New Year to everyone working at and using our nursing care services; to all the nurses, care workers, administration and activities staff, kitchen and cleaning teams and of course our wonderful residents.
